We have launched the ability to book same day and same week appointments with most of our clinic’s family doctors (Dr. Arnesen, Dr. Gustafson, Dr. Halvorsen, Dr. Jenks, Dr. Keffer, Dr. Laxton, Dr. Mitchell, Dr. Patel and Dr. Ruppenstein) via our online portal.
You must be a rostered patient at our clinic in order to book an online appointment. Your name, address and health card number must match the information in our system in order to utilize online appointment booking.
Go to your healthcare provider’s online booking portal.
Enter your first and last name, date of birth, and health number.
Pick the provider you want to see.
Pick your appointment type, answer additional questions, and complete forms (if applicable).
Pick a date and time for the appointment.
Check your email to make sure it’s spelled correctly and book your appointment!

Non-rostered residents of the Rainy River District are welcome to fill out our waitlist form and add their name to our waitlist. Once you have submitted the form you will receive a confirmation email. Your submission will be held in sequential order and our office will reach out to you once we are accepting new patients. We will attempt to phone you three times at the phone number provided, if we cannot reach you your name will be removed from the waitlist.
As many of you know, Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) covers the costs of most of your medical needs. However, there are many services we provide which are not covered by OHIP. These services can require significant time and resources to provide. It is the patient’s responsibility to pay for uninsured services. The uninsured service fees are based on the Ontario Medical Association (OMA) suggested fees. All fees are subject to HST unless otherwise noted.
Examples include (but not limited to): School/Camp Forms, Insurance Forms, sick notes, chart transfer, missed appointments, travel paperwork, etc.
Completion of forms is considered an Uninsured Service and is not covered by OHIP. Although all attempts will be made to complete forms in a timely manner, as per the OMA and CPSO guidelines, physicians have up to 60 days to complete forms.
